Off Again

My man has gone off on another trip. He has returned to Norfolk, Virginia to work at the naval station for the next six weeks. Lucky dog. I soo wish we all could have gone with him.

Virginia is loaded with early American history with places like Jamestown, of Captain Smith and Pocahontas fame, Colonial Williamsburg, as well as Yorktown. There are several cool maritime museums as well. And that's just colonial and revolutionary history!

There are civil war battle fields to tour, historical Richmond (capital of the Confederate States), Appomatox Court House and the homes of Presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Not to mention that Washington, D.C. is only a three hour drive north.

There is also the Appalachian Mountains to the west and of course the Atlantic to the east.

Okay now, what was my reason for staying home again? Dental visits, a new school year, dogs, Hawaii, etc. But hey, that shouldn't stop any of you from goin'!
