Strawberries. One of my favorite things growing in the garden. One of my favorite flavors of summer.

Delicate white blooms. A strawberry's beginning.

The rapidly growing fruits. What promise. What delight to come.

Gasp! Horror!

Those dadgum deer. Took me up on the offer. They picked their share and more. Got my green beans too. :o(

I thot maybe there was a little wabbit that got your fruit. I think you can get dear repellant but heck...they have to eat too. We have taken over much of their hatitat...they are just getting even. I dreamed the mama and baby bear was chasing me last night!!!And..I saw a cute litte wabbit this morning running down the road. Ü
yeah, usually by this time they have already eaten the straberries, they've grown back and have been eaten again. This is the first year I've actually gotten to harvest any berries...I was wondering when, or why they hadn't eaten them yet. :o(
oh bummer! well it looks like they left you a few that weren't quite ripe yet, that was awfully considerate of them!
Did they pay?
Send your men and boys out to pee around the garden boxes........ it works for me with the raspberries. What a bummer....I am so sorry. Wish I could send you some of mine.
Hey, I think Owen would love that job! Peeing on the garden boxes. :o)
No, Sarah, they didn't pay. They'll pay later in October....when it's huntin' season!
ya think they could have spared me a few wouldn't ya?
