Never Been More Nervous.....

....than I am right now! What does a mother do when her first born gets his drivers license and wants to drive himself (alone for the first time) 15 minutes away to a Bible study? Alone on a twisty, winding, country highway. She prays! Hard. And then blogs about it.

Did you have him call you when he got there? That's what we always had to do. Even as a senior in high school, my best friend's mom would have me call her when I got home safely (sometimes as late as midnight)!

brings back memories...
that black Mustang from your grandpa, with the eight track and the t top roof. Singin' to Simon and Garfunkle... cruising the campground, with eyes peeled for a certain "crabby" fella. ;)

I like the 'calling when you get there' thing. I'm nervous over my teenage cousins driving now. LOL I guess this is the beginning of letting go - or shooting that arrow to hit its mark.

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Psalm 127:4

Love the picture. He made it home safe and sound!

Yes, I gave hin the cell phone and had him call me when he arrived and then again when he was heading home. He did just fine. I hope it gets easier though to let him go.....

I've been through this twice and it does get easier. :)

My third is just now starting the online Driver's Ed course and will be getting his permit soon. Sigh. I didn't say it ever gets "easy" but that it gets "easier".

Big steps are difficult,
