Is she the mother hen? She so attentively watches over our four babies, two Rhode Island Reds, (Ginger and Ivy) and two PlymouthBarred Rocks, (Henrietta and Charity).
She rarely leaves their side.
Observe her longing gaze. Sheesh! All she really wants is a chicken nugget. She has her napkin already!
Nancy, you picked a couple of good laying breeds... nothing like fresh eggs in the morning, is there! Our cat got one of our chicks last spring and left nothing but a single feather, it was a sad day.
Scott, before you can mummify the cute little critters, you may need to get yourself a scalpel and have yourself a little dissecting experiment as your first step... just look at Princess Peony! Would you mummify her too?
The chick Ivy was settled in bed, Then a kitty cat bit off her head. Though King Cluck was there, He did nothing but stare. So much for preserving the dead!

Are these going to keep King Cluck from getting lonely in the afterlife? FIVE mummified chickens would really be something to brag about...

Cute blog!
EWWW! we are not going to mummify any of our pets! They are way too cute.
I predict that Ivy goes down to Peony's rapacious appetites.... better go exhume King Cluck to protect her......
