A Patch of Old Snow

There's a patch of old snow in a corner
That I should have guessed
Was a blow-away paper the rain
Had brought to rest.
It is speckled with grime as if
Small print overspread it,
The news of a day I've forgotten-
If I ever read it.

Are you glad to see the snow melting? Normally I wouldn't be, but it was pretty oppressive this year! I don't like the feeling of being trapped! I'm glad to see big puddles 'round these parts...

If only our place looked like that, I'd be thrilled!

I can understanding your feelings :o(...this is the worst part of a heavy snowfall...the ugly dirtiness that lasts for weeks. and of course being stranded st home or otherwise is only fun for so long!
