From the Children's Library

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven:...a time to keep. ~Ecclesiastes

A Time to Keep, The Tasha Tudor Book of Holidays is one of my favorite picture books and probably my favorite Tasha book. In A Time to Keep, Tasha answers her granddaughter's question to 'what was it like when Mummy was like me?' Starting with January Tasha takes us through the year and seasons, month by month, describing what life was like in the Tudor home when her children were small.

My favorite seasons or holidays she describes are summer, celebrating the 4th of July, and the Autumn months, with all the festivities that they brought. Her illustrations are so sweet, inviting, and accurate. Our corgis are every bit as playful and curious as she depicts hers to be!

I just added it to my library list. I love children's book suggestions. And we are going through Ecclesiastes at church too. :)
