Then try these oh so yummy, oh so easy, puff pastry chocolate thingies Miss. M learned to make from the Grandfather. All you'll need is a box of
Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry Sheets, a king size chocolate bar, Miss. M. used a Hershey's Dark Chocolate, egg whites and powdered sugar.

First let your sheet pastry thaw and while you are waiting for that, warm your oven to 425. Once you are able to work with the pastry, unfold both sheets and cut into 9 squares. That's 9 squares each sheet for a total of 18 squares. Brush with egg white. Add 1 piece chocolate to center of square.

Fold over two opposite corners like so. Brush again with egg white and place on greased or parchment lined baking sheet. Pop into oven for about 10 minutes or until nice and golden.

Dust with powdered sugar and that's it! So quick, so easy, so delicious. Thank you Grandfather, for sharing your puff pastry skills. :O)

A new recipe....oh yeah. If you were wondering the Malasadas were probably just OK, compared to these Oishi Pastries! Love you little Baker.
Oooooh Yum! My favorite! They look beautiful!
Hey Son of Grandfather, do you think that maybe you could mail us some chocolate malasadas???? And maybe some coconut ones, too.
What a beautiful picture of Miss M!
Japanese Malasadas? I assume the Japanese fill them with something wierd like shark gizzards or seaweed stew....?
Thank's for posting this, it was perfect timing for us. Madison used this to make Hammon ears for Purim. Loved it!!!
