These babies are the best. My mother insists they are better than the real thing. She has requested a batch for her birthday....which happens to be today! Happy Birthday, Ma. I make these cinnamon rolls throughout the year, but they are especially delicious (name that movie)after playing in the snow. They have become Tradition!!!
Cinnabons for the Bread Machine:
1 c milk
1 egg
4 TBSP butter, melted
4 TBSP water
1 box instant vanilla pudding, (3.4 oz box)
4 c bread flour
1 TBSP sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp yeast
Place ingredients in your machine in order recommended by your manufacturer. Select dough cycle and start.
Filling:
1/2 c butter, softened
1 c brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon...I add way more than that though
When cycle is finished, remove dough and punch down. Roll to 17x10. Spread filling over dough. Get as close to edges as possible. Roll from the widest end to form into a tight log. Cut in 1" slices. Place in lightly greased baking dish, allow to rise, covered, for 20 min. Bake at 350 for 15-20 min.
Frosting:
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 c butter, softened
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp lemon flavoring, optional in my opinion
Mix frosting, spread over rolls, and enjoy. Your family will thank you.
P.S. I'll post my own picture when they are fresh from the oven. *Ü*
