The Anything but Simple Woman's Daybook ~ October 8, 2008Outside my window......it is decidedly fall. There are Alder leaves scattered across the lawn, the fog is thick, and it looks chilly.
I am thinking......about a million different things at once. That makes it difficult to concentrate on any one thing!
I am thankful......to be home. To have a home. To be able to create a home for my family. I hope they never leave it. Kind of.
From the kitchen......there is a pile of dishes waiting to be washed.
From the schoolroom......Zach has begun his busy day. I have wrapped up a mini-study on the Native Americans and am now moving on to the first settlers.
I am creating......a menu for our 3rd Annual Autumn Picnic.
I am reading...... the book of Isaiah and listening to Pastor Chuck Smith afterwards.
I am hoping......for a miracle on election day. Like maybe Christ will return. And I'm hoping the hair color I used on Sunday will fade fast. My kids think I have gone emo.
I am hearing......the sound of Owen's spoon hitting the bottom of the bowl...he's getting every last Cheerio.
Around the house......it is very quiet. The dogs are still sleeping and I think the rest of us are too.
One of my favorite things......a "new" wool sweeter I found at the thrift store. It's warm and pretty.
A few plans for the rest of the week......help Miss. M with some projects she's working on, a sewing project with Miss. Livi, visit my mom, and prepare for our picnic this weekend.
