Peonies. Aren't they one of the loveliest flowers? So purdy and fragrant. I had pretty much given up on the peonies. I planted two bushes five years ago and last spring was the first time they bloomed....three flowers on one plant and zero on the other. This year they are both in full bloom.....

I love peonies...I planted a bush last year, and it's currently hanging on for its dear life. It's in a pot - I think I need to find a permanent spot for it.
How wonderful :-) And is that lavender already in bloom with them? Maybe I have hope for my peonie to bloom in a couple more years..........
that is catmint stuck in there....but yes the lavender has begun to bloom too. Ü
When I see Peonies I always think of Gramma Moe. She always had the most beautiful peonies. I planted one about 3 years ago and it is pretty sickly...No blooms and very slow growth. My sister gave me one of Gramma's peonies in a pot but it hasn't bloomed either! I aalmost stole your "vase" when I came in Sunday evening!! Beware...Mom
I like peonies. I'm not at all sure what they smell like, since the only exposure I've had to their scent is translations by Bath and Body Works. Funny, isn't it... to me peonies are EXOTIC. I wonder if anyone grows them here.
