Saturday Miss.M and I ventured out to Waikiki. We borrowed G'mpa K's truck and headed to the Ala Moana Mall. Once we entered Waikiki, what should have been a 20 minute drive turned into two hours of madness. It was King Kamahamaha Day and every road was closed our detoured on account of a parade. I wanted to scream. I wanted to cry. It's seems all 400,000 of Waikiki's residents wanted to go the same way I did. It was madness.

But we made it with some time to spare to see Clinton Kelly, from TLC's What Not To Wear. The Honolulu Macy's was his last stop on what he called his "Macy's Madness Tour."

It was a workshop of sorts for petites (those who are 5'4 or less). And all about how to chose the right clothes for your body type (short waisted, long waisted, big b**bs, no b**bs, etc...) Volunteers went up on stage and he pointed out what was good about their outfit or what would look better. Here, he was telling this woman that she needs a longer pair of shorts with a straighter cut.

He was every bit as cute and friendly in real life as he is on t.v. Miss. M. and I had front row seats. I was surprised by how tall he is...6'4.

There was also a fashion show and a time of questions and answers. But the most exciting part of the deal, besides actually seeing him, was the chance to win a $500 shopping spree with Clinton. Neither of us won, a balding old lady did. But we had a wonderful time together, Miss M. and I.

Oh my golly... I am so jealous! I love "What Not to Wear" and I think that he and Stacey are the best ever. Yes, it is partially because they tell it like it is without the sugar coating but they totally suggest the best stuff and everyone is always so much better off afterward.

did you get his autograph? a picture with him giving a "thumbs up" for your outfit would have been fun!

Fun! So did you get any good tips to share? I think I would have been scared to go on stage. I love the show What Not to Wear. I have actually learned some tips.
