The hibiscus is the
state flower of Hawaii and they are seen everywhere! It is
the flower that most comes to mind when people think of the flowers of Hawaii. The hibiscus is a favorite icon used on Aloha shirts, luggage, food products, you name it. It is one of my favorite tropical flowers for its vivid colors, ( they can be red, pink, yellow or any combination of the three)and large delicate petals. Sadly though, the hibiscus has no scent.

The ma'ohau hele is Shorty's favorite too. She bought a yellow hibiscus with her own money so that we could enjoy it on the lanai.

Hey Miss Liv.....My face hurts when I look at your sunburn. Does Nana need to send you a sun hat? I can't wait to see your flowers bloom. I love you Little Livie.
